About
Hi my name is János Tantila, Im a portrait, fashion, event and brand photographer with over 5 years of experience behind the lens.
I was born in Transylvania and I’m proudly Hungarian, my roots have shaped how I see people, light and moments. For the past 6 years, I’ve been living in the Netherlands, a country that inspires me every single day.
I was 16 when I first held a camera in my hands. I still remember that moment clearly, it felt like I had just discovered a superpower. From that point on, I knew photography would be part of who I am. I fell in love with capturing people, emotions and storytelling through images.
When I moved to the Netherlands, I had to start from scratch. I worked hard for a full year, saving every bit I could to afford my first camera.
The day I finally bought it wasn’t just about owning a piece of gear, it symbolized everything I had fought for. It was one of the most defining moments of my life, and that feeling still fuels every shoot I do.
Photography, for me, is not just a hobby or a job, it’s what drives me, excites me, and keeps me alive creatively. I live for those honest, raw moments, when the image is more than just a photo, it’s a story, a feeling, a memory frozen in time.
Photography also connects me to people. Every shoot is a chance to meet someone new, hear their story, and recharge through that human energy. That’s what makes this work so beautiful, I don’t just give something to others, I receive so much in return.
My goal isn't just to deliver technically perfect images. It's to create an experience, one where you feel confident, comfortable, and truly seen. Where your photos reflect not just how you look, but who you are.
If you're looking for a photographer who pours their heart into every frame, listens with intention, and strives to create more than just pretty pictures, I'd love to work with you.
Based in the Netherlands, available worldwide.
